Shrok's Haunting¶
There is unrest in the souls of the dead and lost Etherborn... I can feel them stirring in the underworld. The veil between their world and ours is not unpassable. If they should find a way back to our world, I fear for what the outcome could be. I beg you to prepare yourself lest we be unready if the undead rise...
Overview¶
"Shrok's Haunting" is our first ever Halloween season event. Players will face a challenging new faction called the "Haunted" which is made up of new skeleton and ghost archetypes. These enemies will bring a new set of challenging abilities and mechanics for players to overcome. As players fight through the content, they will earn a new seasonal resource called "Haunted Essence" which will be used to craft custom on-chain limited rewards.
Haunted Keys can be obtained from several places:
- Dropped randomly from in-quest events from the haunted faction
- Crafted using the tinker skill and key fragments
- Purchased from the merchant using renown
- Purchased from other players on the market
Features¶
Below is an overview of the significant features added for the Shrok's Haunting release:
- Brand new graveyard maps
- Brand new "Haunted" faction with new enemies and new skills
- Brand new "Shrok" boss enemy
- New randomly selected events that can occur in quests with several variations
- Added support for a "helm" skin slot
- New Haunted Essence resource for killing haunted enemies
- New Haunted Core token for minting seasonal rewards
- Added support for the existing Zombie Blob enjin token as a pet
- Added brand new Purple Pumpkin Blob enjin token as a pet
- New Haunted Key which unlocks the haunted faction which can be obtained from random drops, tinkering and renown daily merchant.
- Quest keys can now be salvaged into key fragments
- Key fragments also drop from lockpick chests
- Lockpick chests now have a chance to drop quest keys
- Tinkers can now craft random rolled quest keys which can boost quest output
- New Skull helm skins which 5 different colors
- Skull skins can be upgraded to elite version wich a particle effect
- 3 new bone weapons which can be upgraded to wraith weapons with particle effect
- New tech to allow minting an upgrade the results in a random token type for a pre-defined set
- Etherforge now shows the result item you will get from the forge
- Etherforge recipes can now have time limits for crafting
- Etherforge recipes can now have escalating costs for crafting.

Haunted Core Release¶
Haunted cores are the key to earning rewards in the Shrok's Haunting event. Each one of them can be minted to earn a random item from the rewards pool. There will be a total of 850 Haunted Cores which matches with the 850 tokens in the reward pool.
There will be 3 ways to acquire haunted tokens:
Craft in-game¶
You can craft haunted essence into haunted cores in game. There will be a total of 300 cores available through this method. Each player can craft a maximum of 10. The resource cost to craft them increases with each time it is crafted.
Sale Details:¶
There will be a sale of 500 cores on NFT.io. The base sale price will be 20 ENJ per core.
Giveaways¶
50 cores will be held aside to give out to players as part of giveaways over the duration of the event.

Info
After December 2025 the ability to mint haunted cores might be removed. In the event that happens, they will be infused with at least 20 ENJ so that you can melt them to get back your purchase price.
